OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We wish to honor all veterans and educate the public through both living history and tactical exercises.
1. Living History:
Living history is a term used to describe several different types of events in which we participate. These events are open to the public and often welcome interaction from the audience. Types of events may include, but are not limited to air shows, parades, demonstrations, displays, school presentations, etc. During living history events, we attempt to create a setting reminiscent of a particular period. An example would be an event focusing on the Normandy Invasion of June 6, 1944. We would portray only units present during the operation, and we always strive to maintain a strict level of authenticity and historical accuracy. We try to present ourselves to the public as the soldiers would have presented themselves during the period, not only in dress, but also in speech, mannerisms, etc.
2. Tactical Exercises:
Tactical exercises include both tactical events and unit training exercises. These events are generally closed to the public. Tactical exercises provide opportunities for our members to expand their knowledge regarding a particular area of history and gain a better understanding of the experiences that have been encountered by America's servicemen and women in the past. Tactical exercises may include, but are not limited to both learning and utilizing infantry tactics, learning about various weapons, studying historical data, conducting research, participating in tactical events which challenge various groups against each other in a controlled setting, etc.
