"Fourth of July Parade"

Downtown Cumming

Cumming, GA

We will be participating in the annual parade in Cumming again this year. All Allied impressions are welcome from all periods. Remember that there will be a lot of veterans present. Since Phillip Dodd always registers KZ to participate in this event, he will be the point of contact. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Phillip. This will be a partial-day event. The parade should not last more than a few hours in the morning. I would like to encourage all that are able to attend.

August 29 & 30, 2008

"Merrill's Marauders Reunion"

Atlanta, GA

We have been invited to set up a living history display at the Merrill's Marauders Reunion that is being held in Atlanta this year. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our organization, as it is not likely that the reunion will come back to our area again. We have been asked to set up a variety of table displays, uniforms, and equipment centered around the Merrill's Marauders and the China, Burma, and India (C.B.I.) Theater of Operations. All of the specific details regarding the exact location and times that we will be needed are still being finalized. Please feel free to visit the Merrill's Marauders Association website: Merrill's Marauders. More information will be posted as it becomes available...

"Operation Market Garden Commemorative Event"

Little White House State Historic Site

Warm Springs, GA

In September, we will be returning to the Little White House to host the event commemorating the anniversary of the largest airborne operation in history...Operation Market Garden. This is an event that we began at the park, and the park has asked us to host the event again. All Allied impressions circa September 1944 are appropriate and will be welcomed at the event. We will be setting up under the outdoor pavilion. For more information about the park and the event schedule, please visit: The Little White House

November 7-9, 2008

"Veterans' Day Weekend Event"

Georgia Veterans' State Park

Cordele, GA

This is going to be a big event for us this year. There is a lot of potential at this venue, and we need to continue to work with the Georgia Veterans' State Park to make this event bigger and better each year. The park only has activities scheduled for Saturday, November 8, however, we are going to try an encourage the park into expanding this event to include Sunday as well. It is a lot of expense, set up, and travel for one day. We want to ensure that we have a great turnout this year. We need to go ahead and start promoting this event. If you have some ideas for this year's event, please contact the Unit Coordinator. More information to come later...

December 6, 2008
